Cúirt in association with Laureate na nÓg, Sarah Crossan and Claddagh National School are delighted to present a showcase of poetry by the children of Claddagh National School who have been working on this special project with poets, Geraldine Mills and Terry McDonagh. “Once you say the words ‘I am a poet’ or ‘we are the poets’ then young people will start to believe and start to write poetry. Claddagh National School has a proud history of leading the way in innovative and inclusive education for children of all backgrounds and abilities. In 2017, the school launched the Claddagh Festival of Children’s Books, which takes place each November. With #WeAreThe Poets, Claddagh N.S. continues its mission of helping children in Galway experience, make and enjoy the wonderful world of words.
