Claddagh National School has a proud history of leading the way in innovative and inclusive education for children of all backgrounds and abilities. In 2017, the school launched the Claddagh Festival of Children’s Books, which takes place each November. With #WeAreThePoets, Claddagh N.S. continues its mission of helping children in Galway experience, make and enjoy the wonderful world of words.

Once you say the words “I am a poet” or “we are the poets” then young people will start to believe and start to write poetry. I really think poetry and the arts can transform lives. And no one should be excluded from that.” Sarah Crossan – Laureate Na nÓg, 2018-2020.
