Bí linn d’eagrán dátheangach Sheisiúin Fhilíochta Cúirt le beirt faighteoirí na Sparánachtaí Síolta Taibhsín, Ola Majekodunmi agus Amano De Londra Miura. Is amhránaí, file agus scríbhneoir amhrán í Amano. Is scríbhneoir, craoltóir agus léiritheoir cruthaitheach í Ola.
Ola was born in Lagos, Nigeria and raised in Dublin, Ireland. She is a broadcaster, writer, Gaeilgeoir, creative producer and a workshop facilitator.
She’s produced and spoken/performed at literary events with the likes of San Patrizio Livorno Festival, IASIL Conference, Dublin International Literature Festival, Cúirt International Festival of Literature, LYRA-Bristol, Poetry Ireland (Céadlínte), West Cork Literary Festival and Irish Writers Centre. Majekodunmi has performed her poems at home in Ireland and internationally in Italy and Egypt.
Her poetry and prose work have been published in Cnámh & Smior, including poetry journals, magazines and zines such as Trumpet: Poetry Ireland, COMHAR, Storms, Airmid, Blue Bodies and Salon Rógaire. Majekodunmi writes primarily in Irish, English and Yoruba. She has also released poetry films with NÓS Magazine and Axis Ballymun, Dublin.
Amano is a singer, poet, songwriter and arts facilitator expanding the boundaries of stories told by Irish traditional art forms through a multi-ethnic, animist, folkloric and ecological lens. With roots in Kerry (Ireland) and Kyushu (Japan) her work finds expression in diverse mediums from folk songs to street spectacle and bilingual poetry to electronic music.
She was recently supported by “An Sparánacht Síol”, a new bursary from An Taibhdhearc The National Irish Language Theatre, to develop theatrical work exploring language estrangement and the complexities of multicultural embodiment. In 2026 Amano will participate in Island Connect II – an international residency exchange programme for performing artists from across European islands – where she will embark on an ecological songwriting project to give voice to extinct animals through the medium of traditional songs.
Amano’s poetry and writing have been published by Channel Magazine, Airmid’s Journal and RTÉ Online. Her debut street spectacle script, An Chailleach, was performed at Kerry Homecoming Festival in 2024 (Dir. Ciara Moloughney). Amano’s music releases have been aired on Raidió na Gaeltachta, RTÉ Radio 1, BBC Radio Ulster and include THREAD – Amano x Kalabanx (2024), Burn (2025) and The Birthing House (2025).
