Motherfoclóir with Darach Ó Séaghdha & special guest, Siún Ní Dhuinn
Thursday, April 26 @ 4:00 pm| €6
This event, though mainly in English, will also use some Irish words.
Author of Motherfoclóir: Dispatches From A Not-So Dead Language, Darach Ó Séaghdha, will discuss the work of Flann O’Brien in a lively discussion with special guest, Siún Ní Dhuinn, in a live recording for his Motherfoclóir podcast
Darach Ó Séaghdha is the author of Motherfoclóir: Dispatches From A Not-So Dead Language (published by Head of Zeus) and the presenter of the Motherfoclóir podcast (produced by the Headstu Podcast Network). Both of these projects were initiated in response to the popularity of his Twitter account, @theirishfor, which shares new and old Irish words of interest. As a fellow writer-civil servant hybrid, he is a huge fan of Flann O’Brien/Myles na gCopaleen/Brian O’Nolan.
Darach’s second book is expected in September 2018.
Siún Ní Dhuinn is the Digital Coordinator for Gaeilge with RTÉ. She is an avid fan of Flann O’ Brien, especially his work as Gaeilge.
