Get ready for a time of discovery and invention as we explore poem-worlds with strange happenings and even stranger rules. In this workshop we will read, discuss and write poems that draw from dreams, memories, semiotics and the visual arts, and feature sound poetry, paradoxes, wordplay and literary nonsense. We will play with syntax, form, logic and allusion to unpack poetry’s capacity for offering subversion and catharsis. Together, we will create new work in an atmosphere of adventure, risk, truth-telling and play, in order to push the bounds of possibility.
