Book NowIn this lively, generative workshop we’ll play with various sources of inspiration – such as visual art, popular music, TV, and film – to spark your creativity. We’ll explore imaginative approaches to poetry through open-ended writing exercises using prompts, as well as discussing poems by a diverse group of contemporary authors, including Emily Berry, Jericho Brown, Victoria Chang, and Vidyan Ravinthiran. If you want to try something new or are just hoping to shake up your usual practice, this workshop is for you
Jane was born in the US and has lived in London since 2002, where she is a Senior Lecturer in Creative Writing at the Open University. Her collection Discipline (Carcanet, 2019) was a Poetry Book Society Recommendation. She was named a Next Generation poet by the PBS for her collection The Ninjas (Carcanet, 2012), and her first collection, Marabou (Carcanet, 2005), was shortlisted for the Forward, Whitbread, and Jerwood Aldeburgh poetry prizes.
